Best time to ski in Le Grand-Bornand

With altitudes of over 2000 metres, and a sizable band of snow cannons covering the main runs, Le Grand-Bornand is pretty reliable for snow. That said, the best dumps usually fall in February and March.

Short of time? With quick and easy access from Geneva airport, Le Grand-Bornand is spot on for a long weekend break. And look out for dates of the French Biathlon World Cup in December.

Top tip - make the most of longer days with sunset ski sessions during February and March - there’s nothing quite like cruising down the mountain under an Insta-worthy pink sky.

Love cheese? Then you’re going to love Le Grand Bornand. Well-known for its locally produced Reblochon, you’ll find tartiflette and fondue on every menu in town. And don’t miss the weekly farmers market to pick some up for the journey home.
